JOB TITLE: Personal Banker

REPORTS TO: Office Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Sells a full range of banking products and services to existing and prospective customers while providing specialized customer service.  Provide customer assistance in opening new accounts, loan applications and existing services.  Assist management in creating and maintaining the sales environment of the office through interaction with customers and staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Represents the bank in a courteous and professional manner. 

2. Consistently meets or exceeds sales/referral goals.

3. Opens and maintains full range of  products and services and processes loans.

4. Maintains a well-developed knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered; taking responsibility to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.

5. Initiates sales/referrals and capable of effectively cross selling bank products and services.

6. Initiates and maintains customer contact through a variety of methods, including telemarketing, outside sales calls, establishing business contacts, and community events.

7. Meets with customers to discuss financial needs, emphasizing financial counseling and lending, and make appropriate referrals.

8. Maintains a sales environment and actively participates in the creation and execution of sales contests, monthly blitzes and other motivational activities.

9. Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business confidential.

10. Maintains knowledge and complies with all Bank policies and procedures.

11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  High School Diploma

Experience:   Minimum one year of Financial Services Industry experience.  One or more years experience in sales environment.  Demonstrated ability to work in team environment.  Proven leadership skills.  strong verbal, written, communication and organizational skills.  Experience with Microsoft products. 

Skills:    CAbility to perform basic math functions, ability to present a professional image, good communication skills, work in a team environment , as well as independently, with co-workers and customers. Qualified candidate will have proven sales abilities that include cross sells and referrals with expert knowledge of procedures and bank products and services.  Candidate must have proven customer service skills that build long term loyalty between customers and co workers.  Position requires the ability to establish self as a leader, and must be able to interact well with others.
